Band Camp July 21- August 1!

Band Camp will be July 21st- August 1st, 2008.  There will be band rehearsal on July 14th and 15th from 6-9pm.  Percussion and colorguard need to plan on a small camp the week before band camp.  We are also going to have a full band carwash on July 19th. 

DCI Trip July 25th!

We will be attending the DCI Preview of Champions at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN on July 25th.  There will be a small fee for transportation ($5).  Tickets have been ordered for this event.  If you would like to go and ticket was not ordered for you, you can purchase a ticket at the gate for $25.

STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

The Muhlenberg South Marching Suns made history again this year by not only making State Finals, but by becoming STATE CHAMPIONS!!!  On October 20, 2007 the Suns won both Semi-final and Final competitions. The Suns received a score of 84.34 in Semi-finals at Ballard High School and an 88.66 in Finals at the Louisville Cardinals Papa Johns Stadium.  This is the first State Championship won by a Muhlenberg County band since schools were consolidated in 1990.  This has been the culmination of many countless hours of hard work from students, boosters, parents, and directors.  It's been an unbelievable journey and an accomplishment that will be remembered for a lifetime.
